We decided that before the holidays we wanted to get most of the music video finished so that we could work on improving it when we get back . We have now finished the Alice In Wonder Land scene and the Charlie and the chocolate factory scene which we think looks brilliant .In these scenes we have used cross cutting, Slow Motion and fast pace editing . We used all of these to create the fun but nervous atmosphere that we wanted in these scenes . In particular the slow motion shows the look of fright on Lewis's face whilst he is running away from the other characters . The cross cutting then helps to show Lewis going from one scene to another .
We tried playing around with the effects on Sony Vegas so that we could make the entrance into the Charlie and the chocolate factory scene look weird and confusing . We played around with swirls , bubble and many more effects to see if we could make this atmosphere look unique and weird. With the Charlie and the chocolate factory scene being short we decided to make the scene have more fast pace editing in order to hit some more impact points (In this scene the impact points are that Lewis is now extremely confused and scared as he has just gone through a rabbit hole into a totally different room ) .

Editing update two
From looking at previous music videos we decided that we would like our music video to have a lot of fast pace editing because we think that it looks better . We have also decided to use slow motion editing because we feel that it fits the timing and impact point of the music and we also realized from previous videos that by adding edits such as slow motion it gets you a higher grade .
We have now finished the Emo scene which i feel looks really well because it is fast pace editing with some unsteady footage which signifies how scared and confused our main character Lewis is . We have also used a lot of shot reverse shots and point of view shots in this scene to show Lewis's point of view and to show each characters emotion . We still need to do the filtering in this scene but have decided to wait for the whole video to be finished before doing this because then we can get the colours perfectly i contrasting nicely with each scene . We have changed the contrast in this scene so that it does not look so pixely and we have used a fade as he walks in the door to make it look more smooth

Student Feedback- First draft of music video
In our lesson today we had the whole class evaluate what we had of our music video so far. We did this so that we could get other peoples feedback on the editing and the story line so that we could improve what we have already . This helps a lot because you may not see the mistakes that you have made where as overs who have watched it for the first time will be able to notice the mistakes. Overall everyone seemed to like the first draft of the music video, in particular the story line behind it because it is unique .
Positive feedback
Positive feedback
- People said that they liked the initial concept of the video because it is unique and fun which will keep the audience interested and also fits well with the genre of music we are doing .
- They were impressed with the fact that we had synced the lip syncing nicely.
- The Fast pace editing where Lewis turns form one character to another because it flow smoothly .
- They found the video funny which is what we wanted out of the video, this way we can keep the audience interested and laughing which will create more of a global audience .
Negative feedback to improve the video
- One of the big things that we need to change is to hit the impact points better this way it will make the video stand out better
- We also need to start filtering the video so that the quality looks better .
- We need to get the beginning finished because with out the beginning the video doesn't fully make sense .

Editing updates
As you can see from the picture we used to match on action to make Lewis look more sneaky and to make the impact points fit better .
